Ontologies

An ontology (or vocabulary) is a formal definition of data types, properties, and conventions for particular domains of data. For example, if you list products on the web, then you may be familiar with schema.org/Product as a method for describing products with a name, weight, pricing, and many other properties.

Any ontology can be referenced within data sources, but we offer some additional integrations and documentation for the following, well-known ontologies.

Similar to ontologies, standard values are another method of to ensure that well-known values, such as countries or languages, are referenced consistently.
