Usage Hints for SEO

Publishers, you can now view SEO-specific recommendations when validating your structured data! These "Usage Hints" are based on documentation published by search engines, such as Google Search Central. Search engines tend to be more restrictive than the standard Schema.org vocabulary, so these additional validation messages help ensure your data qualifies for search-specific enhancements and features.

These Usage Hints show up as a validation warning attached to the nearest property or resource with the problem. A brief summary of the problem is provided, and a link to the relevant documentation page of the search engine is included.

While these unofficial hints may not cover every detail used by search engines or to replace service-specific tools (e.g. Rich Results Test), they certainly help reduce the number of surprises when content goes live.

P.S. The Google Search recommendations are enabled by default from the web application (in addition to the Schema.org standard), but you can disable them or switch to Yandex Search from the settings dialog.
